It's been said, but yea, best dark skill body, best blue magic skill body, better perp hands (although unnessesary), stoneskin legs, shedir feet destroy everything for magic pacts and general roflmeleemage gear. Personally, we held a vote and since it was 50:50 when we came to our first boss we randomed and Ultima won.

My group is going to do an old Ultima tonight so people can get some gear to upgrade, but then we're going to switch and do a few Omega runs. Ultima clearly has the better gear this time, but it feels wrong not doing a little Omega on the side!

Omega's useful pieces are basically Homam Body and Legs +1. The rest of it is shit. If we can get enough people to come and get KIs on Saturday, I fully expect to never have to waste another Metal Chip run on Omega.

Agree with Byrth/Slycer. We pretty much do Omega for the body and legs, and Ultima for the melee/dark skill bodies, enhancing pants, and SMN feet. Those SMN feet in particular are best-in-slot for magic BPs and arguably best-in-slot for physical BPs pending testing against the AF2+2.

This said, increasing their BP damage does not substantially increase the DPS of the linkshell in those events. Against ADL they get one Thunderstorm (potentially), so a 3% increase in damage would be a reaaaally miniscule increase in the odds you're going to win. In Legion, over the course of half an hour, you're still looking at a paltry increase in damage (~2000 more damage for a summoner BPing every 45 seconds). However, it's fun to summoner burn things and Arch-Ultima can be summoner burned, so we do it. None of us need Odin stuff either, but we still kill Odin.

Best blue magic skill body? hmm I guess if your goal is Magic ACC thats true.. but for blu magic skill, Magus Jubbah (+1) still wins. I tend to think of capping blue skill for enhancing spells like occultation.

Debatable. For magic accuracy it should be close with AF1+1. Falls short for any other reason.

Only applicable for debuffs and self buffs, the haste to lower recast time pays for the 2 less skill.
