People still farm empyrean weapons?

After coming back from a 9 month break I'm making a few more for the hell of it and also making one for a friend that hasn't played since 75 so yes.

There's no such chance, you'd use both DW items.

Doubtful outside of solo situations. Even with just Haste as a buff, you're trading 2% attack speed with Koga +2 for STR+11 AGI+11 DEX+11 ACC+14 ATK+14 with Thaumas Kecks, and also getting 100% TP a round sooner.

Of course not and I was essentially joking but watching a gimp take forever on a bottleneck like Minax or Gukumatz if you're having bad luck with gold chests is still mildly annoying.

wow, so Monk got completely ignored on the new stuff eh? well, I guess unless I want to maybe grab some junk for DRG or something I can pretty much ignore this update existed.

Adding another DW item makes Koga better and Thaumas worse, not the other way around. Yes, you're opening up a small amount of haste by switching out the belt, but I doubt it's enough to really justify it in the low-buff situations where this is actually relevant.

Only saving grace for this update will be Arch-Odin dropping hexed gear abjurations. Other than that there seems a *really* disproportionate amount of BLU love this update, even if the best of it is "oh cool, cure potency and more pdt options".

Actually, looking over the update notes again the only place they said additional items were made available was an NPC in Mhaura, presumably Ancient Beastcoin related?

This is probably the NPC who gives ultima/omega items, and related to the proto versions.

Well I checked all the staves equippable by "all jobs", and theres no new such staff. Dont get your hopes up.

sort fields by jobs then by weapon type, those two placeholders COULD be a prism staff...OR it could be event item. At this point though, any prism staff would be well behind the power of magian staves, the only people I see using them are mules or gimps.

Fairly disappointing, actually. All of the colors bleed off at the bottom, lol.
