Adding another DW item makes Koga better and Thaumas worse, not the other way around. Yes, you're opening up a small amount of haste by switching out the belt, but I doubt it's enough to really justify it in the low-buff situations where this is actually relevant.

You're oversimplifying by assuming that native Dual Wield is the only factor. Koga is better than Thaumas/Iga largely because in slots with no-brainer haste options (Head, Body, Hands, Belt) you're already at 21%, and the only feet options worth considering give you another 2 to 4%. In any non-solo situation, the difference in attack speed between Koga and Thaumas/Iga would be overwhelmed by TP considerations and other stats without the gear Haste cap. It's possible this belt changes things.

Or people who are not going to make magian staves for something that is not for their jobs' purviews. How many WHMs are going to make Wind, Earth, Fire, Ice, and Light M.Acc staves for their enfeebles? Same for SCH and BLM. How many RDMs are going to make a full set of 6 MAB staves for their nukes? Hell, I cannot see a purpose to RDMs making M.Acc staves at this point.

Silly sept don't you know everyone has an infinite amount of time to make what might end up being rediculously situational peices for every job they might ever possibly use it on while also doing all the other things they want to in game?

I must be the only BLM oogling the new items: Chelona Hat +1, Adhara Manteel, Othila Sash, and (for those times hMP is useful ... if there still is one) Chelona Boots +1, Chelona Blazer +1 and (for those times in abyssea when BLM is the only one getting amber lights) Adhara Crackows.

God, Sept, I love you for championing the Prism Staff business, but god I wish they would just do the same thing for the Magian staves. My SMN would be infinitely happy for a Prism III staff.

Am finally able to sign onto POL but the game itself is still down. "Check Version" button is available but if you already downloaded the update via "Check Files" then you're good to go. Just have to wait for the game to come back online.
