Well wasn't trying to say that's what the rate would just that that big of an increase kinda looks like it plants it into noticeable increase lol. Looks like I need to raise the price of matysa to 1.5-2 mil!

Well unless you are already sitting on enough gp to get serpent rumors and got your ebisu items or want to skill up other crafts the cape aint gunna do much for you. I mean you are already at lvl 30ish to even try the cape. As is even without skillup ring you should be able to get nashmau within a week which is where you will probably stay until you get ebisus. And as that is only like 120-140k a day getting there a couple of days earlier is only gunna get you a few 100k more lol

Item description specifically says increases synthesis skill gain rate meaning it almost certainly does not apply to fishing.

Got my last .3 skill to hit 106 in 4 synths today. Loving this cape. Sucks even at 100% skill up rate I'm looking at near 120M to hit 110 from 106 atm >.<

Hey but sure beats the 500mil or so it would've taken... and the people on ffxiah are saying this cape would never save you 30 mil even if you lvled everything to cap lol.

Btw wtf are you doing that averages 3mil a synth from 106 to 110 lol? Sounds like gold

1x square of sealord leather
more like 2.6-2.7 but not too far off.

I did a mixture of Attacker's Mantle, Sealord Leather and Urja Gloves. Not sure about your server but Hahava mails are sold out and hard to get now with dux out, but getting to 104 wasn't really painful gil wise. I know someone mentioned leather and gloves both being 103 but they are indeed 104. I'm on the road now to 105 and will do Urja Jerkin, not sure if I will even bother going beyond that atm.

Yea, I'm going to get to 102 minimum off of the panther masks (although potentially by obligation if they actually cap at 102 as opposed to 103), and then do sealord leather to 104. They aren't exactly cheap, but 50-80K per skin still isn't bad, particularly considering that you'll be going through sealord leather like mad if you have any intentions of going beyond 105.

Some Smithing info: I've synthed around 30 Thokcha Ingots (on BG wiki as 100) cap @ 99 with no skill ups so I'm really doubting they cap at 100. On another note, my recently acquired Shaper's Shawl let me down on the materials I've saved up for awhile with 13/56 skill ups WITH food and cape. For the record, I was synthing Adaman Gauntlets @ 99.3 and ended up @ 100.6. That leads me to one of these 3 possible scenarios or a combination of them: 1. My luck sucks, 2. Cape is nothing special, 3. New synths have a higher skill up rate. Yes, I know it's a low sample size but it's pretty depressing lol. Anyway, does anyone know the subcraft levels on Cursed Breastplate -1; mainly wondering if I'll need to work on goldsmithing GP too.

your best bet for c. breastplate is 70 GS and 103 smithing (if you have +12 skill). Breastplate caps at 104.

the thockcha ingot 100 was from me. sorry wasnt sure if 99 or 100. assumed 100 but i was allready at 100 at the release of those synths.

That list isn't entirely accurate; Winged Plaque and Sasanuki are both 102 or less; I hit 103 so I can't check Sune-ate/Somen anymore, but I got those 2 items listed under Expert @ 102. Merlin could check @ 106 and probably tell you which is higher maybe.
