Bitches love ponies
Actually
I think more of these so called misogynists like ponies more than bitches, lets be honest here
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...talking-about/
Where are the feminists bitching about equality here? Male athletes who have been found committing domestic violence are banished from their sport and have all sponsorships dropped. Female athlete does same thing, no one bats an eye as she continues to play for her team and collects sponsorship money.
Welcome to Gynocentrism.
>Posts an article criticizing the lack of discipline of a female athlete
>asks why no one is talking about it
Saw the nudes, weren't bad.
Had a trashy tattoo though but domestic violence and trashy tattoos go hand in hand.
Fuck her if it's true. How's that for a response?
Misogynistic.
Where were you when deadspin covered the arrest in June and posted the 911 call?
Oh right you weren't in this thread because a) it has nothing to do with the topic and b) you don't sincerely care and you just want a reaction.
So good job, I guess?
No one particularly cares about any DM incident unless there is scintillating TMZ video attached or an opportunity to make powerful millionaires look like hypocrites.
Hard stop.
What's really interesting is how you frame the possibility of a double standard. If the standard is that athletes only face consequences if the money behind sponsorships say they should, then there is no double standard. The NFL is quaking right now because the sponsors forced them to move. Nobody in pro soccer is getting squeezed. Neither league sincerely cares about the conduct of their employees when zero dollars are at risk. The standard applied by media coverage probably follows the money curve as well. The more popular a league is locally, the more coverage its star players get. Since this time it wasn't her husband in the courhouse, it got overlooked.
I was talking about laypeople though - they cared about Ray Rice justice well before sponsors got involved, thanks to scintillating video.
I'm half expecting the "feminists are the new jews of media control" argument to pop up soon.
Public outcry is a tricky thing. The NFL has been fielding some extremely questionable figures for years. FIFA is literally using slaves to build stadiums in Qatar. Neither sport has ever been as popular as they are right now. The volume of people calling for Hope Solo's head seems commensurate with the relative popularity of women's soccer in America. Throw the book at her, sure, just don't pretend feminists don't care about domestic violence when a man is the victim.
Wasn't the victim a woman in Hope's case? Her sister?
how are you so fucking basic archibald just pick a side in the gender wars already
they aren't teh opposing team, they're the ball.
