Recognize that YOU might not be as misogynistic a creep as other guys and that those guys will NOT BE SOLD on the same things you will be sold on. You recognize education is important, but you don't think different people need different educations? Different hooks? Different marketing? How would go about teaching these guys what you know about power dynamics? The book I quoted's author, Robert Greene, has excellent books on power dynamics that are NOT affiliated with PUA or POA (idk what this one even means). But how do you get people to read them? Changing someone from a loser to a winner is not some quick and easy process, it takes well over a year.

PUA is just one of three things I said that could work for some people, most likely it'll be better for the REALLY uncalibrated, insecure, angry and frustrated type.

The point was that there is a ton of information out there (not PUA related, I don't want my position to be one advocating PUA garbage) to digest and many paths to not being an unhappy loser..... and that trying to shame someone isn't going to get them to see your point any better.

All the PUA/get laid crap is a non-solution, sexual urges are not the cause of most rapes, the sex is just the expression of something else.
Just making sure everybody is getting some strange will not actually cause most kinds of people who commit rape to go "oh, well, I won't bother then."

I got'cha. I agree with everything you said, it isn't about sex it's about understanding.
What's that something else that is causing the rape? I think it's frustration, anger, and desperation that fuels it. And I think it comes from a lack of understanding how the social world works. And what he said isn't even 1/100 of the different types of desires people have that are tough to deal with. Makes for a really confusing world if your insight to it is fueled only by your own life's anecdotal evidence. Everyone needs to seek information all the time

PUA uses "get laid" as a marketing tool. Those aren't the values you get from it at the end of your "journey". I say journey because anyone into it long enough will either move on to bigger and better things or end up making their living from it. If they didn't do it, there would be a huge part of the market gone untapped.

We all know that adage of if you want to enter a debate you better be prepared to debate the opponents side better than you can. I urge you to get curious about the "get laid" stuff if you want to discredit it because it's much more than that underneath the things they use to hook customers. It's no surprise what they teach can be seen in multi-million dollar self-development businesses like Anthony Robbins (one of the bigger names that maybe people here are familiar with). Again, that PUA stuff advertises to a different clientele.

This might be surprising but PUA stuff will eventually, if the guy sticks with it long enough, teach them to LOVE women. But they can't advertise like that. The guy who markets himself honestly about what he is teaching gets 1 student to every 20 of the guy who says he fucks new hot bitches every weekend in his white panel van. They both teach the same things, though.

And anyway, that was literally 33% of my original post - there are other resources out there for guys that you might be less squeamish about. Daniel Goleman has a lot of free essays out there on emotional intelligence, leadership, and he's a really good guy to learn from. Greene is great, imo. Hellen Fisher's book is amazing. There's a lot more to throw down if I took this more seriously.

Don't get caught up with PUA being one of the outlets if you haven't investigated. Don't even have to investigate it if you don't want to, tbh - it'd take a lot of time to do that and then to find someone worthwhile of listening to. If you'd like to take that upon yourself though I can PM you one whose founder I know to be an amazing guy. Wont put it in my post as I'm not here to advertize though, lol

I've handled hundreds and hundreds of sexual assault cases. I'd easily argue 85% of them are alcohol facilitated amongst friends, 14% of them marital, and I can count on one hand the amount of times it was the random nigga in the bushes. I've had only two cases where the sexual assault was completely fabricated.

My personal observation as a federal special agent who's investigated solely for SVU the past four years under the DoD. Take it for what it's worth.
