Saw you asked this. I dealt with a few. Recent one was about a year ago or so. Male got lured in to it by his ex, male was getting married, etc. and female got him completely hammered and had sex with him. He ended up dropping the charges after he filed his report and arrested her, but she was indeed charged with sexual assault.

It was limited to 2nd Degree though, because 1st degree involves penetration (which didn't happen) and 2nd degree is contact against your will.

Murica has division issues and they aren't helped by driving wider wedges between men & women or whites & blacks with attitudes like the one displayed here. Even if 99% of rapes have women victims why go out of your way to make sure men know that this is a woman issue and their support is not welcome unless they qualify the support accordingly? If women are disproportionately harmed then they will disproportionately benefit from the fallout, and misogynists lose their platform.

No one benefits when people start playing the "I'm a bigger victim" card; it's just an excuse to shit-sling.

To be fair, its also not a sea of anyone getting raped.
To further complicate things, most of the instances of this happening are when both parties are under the influence and not using their better judgement anyway. Makes things rather difficult to deal with when you consider all factors.


We like things simple but this is a multifaceted problem that is anything but. I don't claim to have the solutions but "teach men not to rape" is oversimplifying a complex problem that changes nothing about the dynamics of what rape actually is and does nothing to stop 'anything'.

If the problem is that women being raped by men isn't being taken seriously I think that might be true for any case of rape.
