1) it is actual rape. If someone doesn't want to have sex with you, and they do anyway, it's rape. You don't have to violently force them, or threaten them for it to be rape. There are other ways to force someone to have sex. For example, by doing it when they are drunk, and aren't able to properly comprehend what they are doing, and the consequences of it, or by intimidating them, and making them feel like they can't say no.
2) There's nothing to fear unless you're doing something wrong. The only people being shamed are those who deserve to be.

Or so you say, but its not really enforced well at all. Take a look at Brian Banks. That man's life was torn the fuck apart and she just had a pay a fine for wasting the people's time.
No jail time, nothing major. A $2.6 mil penalty may sound steep but all things considered it was more of a slap on the wrist in that situation.

Its not adequate which is why the behavior is hardly discouraged by such measures.

You would be hard to convince me there isn't a major split on "selling sex" on stage. When it comes to individuals in everyday lives, it is definitely sex positive. I have read from too many feminist that those who are sexual on stage are following the patriarchy by giving men exactly what they want and insist these women are victims of male marketing.

I'm not advocating jack, I know there are plenty of women who want to be "taken" by a man. Women love the feeling of being desired, and a lot love it even more when a man has to fight to get her (whether it be courting her over another man or her token resistance).

That doesn't mean it's not bullshit and doesn't mean it can often be considered technical rape, but as a human and a man I've learned where the fine line is, learned to read body language and eye contact, and know "ok this no actually means no". I like to think that the fact that I'm not a sex offender means I know this; I just don't think it should be this way.

Hey, I'm not saying everyone should be advocating anything. That was a conditional statement.
You can't really say you want to help dudes and then not do anything to help dudes and expect that to fly.
(Though I do find it interesting that people get up in arms over women's problems and just basically go "it is what it is" for men's)

But yeah, your post is pretty much what I've been trying to say.
