If you get mad about Anita Sarkeesian, you are the cause of the problem named Anita Sarkeesian.

Ugh you're right. Anita drink...
It's a symbiotic relationship. They get attention for trolling and harassing, and she gets to point to them and talk about how they justify her work.
Nigga's be spittin essays in here and ya'll still can't get anita's engorged clit out yo mouths.
It's pretty clear that you don't know anything about feminism, but still hate it because... i don't know.
The entire reason to point this out is to show that it is a serious problem, and something that we should try to fix. No one is trying to shame men, or make them seem like horrible people because of this. Men are the victims here, and that is bad. It's not just biological differences that cause men to do school shootings and not women. It's cultural too. You may not be able to do anything about testosterone (or at least, it would be absurd to suggest you should), but the cultural factors can absolutely be changed, and that is the goal of feminism.
I would like to divorce the cancer that is Anita from feminism, like you would expect to do after andalusians post, but her sudden sky rocket to the fore front of feminism won't let me. Like it or not feminists, this chick is your problem more then any one else. You don't get to throw around previous accomplishments and ignore what this woman is spewing.
She is literally being paid to continue putting herself out there and contribute to feminism, and this is how she attempts to do that. She offers less to this topic then she proved capable of during the whole GG scandal, and we still have people trying to justify her air time. This isn't a problem that'll go away by ignoring it; we need to talk about why she blows. We need to talk about why she's a cancer to social progress on all fronts. We need feminist to stand up and say "whoa bitch, calm the fuck down with your shenanigans". I'm not asking nor expect her to disappear, that's not fair. But what is fair is holding her accountable for the shit she slings, and not using the shield that is feminism to protect her when she goes too far.
And to edit: hey demonstrates why she's a problem. Not even two pages and somehow she turned what is understood as a mental health and gun laws problem into a "men shoot up schools cause men problems" thing. The fact he actually thinks this is a legitimate "thing" worthy of focus or fixing over mental health and gun laws proves her cancer is spreading.
News flash people, if she said "on top of mental health and gun laws, we should start considering men and societal norms in these discussions" no one would have really given a shit. But when she says men, not mental health or gun laws, are the problem, yes she's getting her ass called out and talked about. Negatively.
She hasn't though, you only think she has because you are seeing things she's not saying. ie this, which shows a fundamental lack of understanding.
She isn't slinging shit, she is pointing out a problem. One that men are the victims of.then why is she blaming males when she should be helping males get through this thing called puberty and young love with out resorting to testosterone fueled violence. What about encouraging young men to talk about their feelings, to tell people how they feel, to seek help when they need it most at once of their most emotionally fragile times of their life. Again, God forbid feminist help men.
Dude. She literally says men, not mental health or guns, should be central point in the shooting. How the fuck else am I supposed to take that. You're putting words into her mouth to fix the sexist shit she spews. Stop, she doesn't need your white shield for protection.
It's almost like twitter, in it's 140 character limit, is a shitty place to learn anyone's opinion about anything! It's impossible to give nuance.
Let me put it to you this way; explain to me why men or societal norms are to blame here? Why is mental health and gun laws supposed to take a seat on the back burner while we tackle patriarchy and women's role in society?
You mean to tell me, with a straight face, that men are the problem here and not a childs emotional cry for help going unanswered? That men are the problem and not an underaged boys ease of access to a firearm?
You mean to tell me that men, not mental health or gun laws, should be the concern of the Newton shooting?
No, she does not get the benefit of the doubt; not with her history of cherry picking examples that best fit her narrative. Unless you can link me to an expose of what she actually meant, since apparently hey had a chit chat with her and got down to the nitty gritty of what she really meant. It's almost like twitter, in it's 140 character limit, is a shitty place to learn anyone's opinion about anything! It's impossible to give nuance.
It's ok guys! What she really meant was...
Why don't you just read what she says herself, because clearly you haven't. It's all about how men are harmed.
She RTd thisMass shootings are one tragic consequence of a culture that perpetuates toxic ideas of masculinity. This is how patriarchy can harm men too.
It is not "man-hating" to want to examine & challenge the ways in which violent masculinity limits and harms men & boys. Quite the opposite.
Dude. Real talk. Take a step back. Nobody is blaming men. The idea that certain behavior being normalized, however, can play a role in a lot of things.
Stop worrying about Anita. Saying she is the face of feminism and that feminists need to accept that her toxicity and "cancer" as you put it is exactly the same as saying the people making death threats and harassing people over twitter are the "face" of Gamergate.
But above all. Stop worrying about someone that is never going to have an effect on your life. She makes videos on youtube and posts things in twitter. Since when has that led to any significant change? The only reason she's getting any press at all is due to the Streisand Effect.
Because if the rate of men being involved in school shootings was reduced to be the same as it is for women, then we would have totally solved the problem.
No.You mean to tell me, with a straight face, that men are the problem here and not a childs emotional cry for help going unanswered?
No.That men are the problem and not an underaged boys ease of access to a firearm?
Still no.You mean to tell me that men, not mental health or gun laws, should be the concern of the Newton shooting?
Oh ok, she says it's not man hating, so obviously it's not man hating.
She's saying exactly the same thing i did. Men are not the problem, they are the victims of the actual problem.
You are determined to ride this inconsequential person's nuts to the ends of the earth. Have fun!
Seriously. She's being given a platform for free. She's being given money and publicity for free at this point.
What the flying fuck. I talk about my disgust at a comment made by a now infamous feminist, and one side I got a guy telling me not to worry about her, she's not relevant, and on the other side I got a guy saying "well I don't agree with her statement, but this is why she's right".
I shoulda saved the Anita drink pun for this post >_<
