Culture shock time; am I the only one here who grew up poor and knows that a lot of "ghetto" girls (on average) are quite receptive to this kind of behavior when compared to others?
There is no one way to treat a woman. I'm seemingly the only one who thinks there's not a one-size fits all solution and that rather than entire areas of people changing the way they act to suit a handful of people; those handful of people should put on their big girl pants when going through certain areas.

If being told you have a big ass a lot is really that terrible of a thing, I guess you'd actually be correct to change your route like they were saying some women do. And yes, thinking someone is going to leap out and attack you because a lot of people think your butt looks nice is actually the textbook definition of paranoia btw.

The problem is tons of dudes holler with no reasonable belief that the woman will be receptive. Hollering anyway in that incredibly common situation is kinda sociopathic.

and yeah chari, as someone with friends from the millitary that grew up in "ghettos" they talk to women a different way that white feminists get uppity about, their women don't seem to mind though. dunno if it makes it "right" but i would say "right" is how it makes you feel, not the words themselves. i still don't curse around my mother for example
