I mean, you're practically subscribing to that tactic, if you want to say cat-calling is "mostly harmless", even if you don't practice it regularly yourself.
Defending bonk alpha male bull (which will never work on most females) isn't exactly guilty by association. I know I left myself wide-open on that, but let's be real.
On another note, I came across this a minute ago, it speaks to me.

Once again
"hi", on its own, is not harassment
Sure, if you're tone deaf or ignore the behavior of everyone you meet. I know you're not that naive. There can be situations where body language and social cues may not be there to tell you "don't invade my space" or "not interested", but for an average day out in public, you know that awkward/forced "hi" won't be worth the effort or be well-received by the woman minding their own on a street, on public trans, etc. I say "hi/how are you doing?" all the time to females, every time I have eye-contact, a smile, or some interaction that leads-up to it. That's something I don't need to think about or go out of my way to accomplish. Cat-calling and most forms of game-spitting is unnatural, desperate, and disrespectful.
Some dudes obviously don't give a fuck about minor details like eye-contact, or anything that their prey is trying to express, and use that "hi" as a formality to invade the personal space of any female that enters their crosshairs. Whether they back-down immediately after the woman expresses disinterest or they enter into the endurance-level of harassment is irrelevant, as far as I'm concerned. Control yo thirst, homie.
You are the one who doesn't seem to know better.
You seem to think I'm defending any type of behavior which simply means you cannot (or are unwilling to) read and then comprehend the words you've read.. Annoying things are not harassment. I've really not said anything more complex than this.
Its not really such an abnormal thing for someone to perhaps be interested in talking to you FOR VARIOUS REASONS even if you didn't want to talk to them.
If you don't want to, don't engage them and continue on with your life; wow. So fucking hard. You haven't been harssed, someone just tried to talk to you is all.
I swear, ya'll some sensitive lil men.
You might as well of just said "I don't have an opinion on anything" then.
I do have an opinion on what harassment is which is what I've been talking about. Are you daft?
I just clearly outlined my opinion on the usage of "hi" as a convo starter to random females on the street. You? Nah, you want to take jabs at posts and (before your edit) say you don't even have an opinion on.
Annoying someone who you don't think wants to talk to you by talking to them with sexual overtones (or undertones) - does it really matter whose definition of harassment that meets? Is the definition of the word harassment so important that you want to interject a semantics argument in here?
"hi" is annoying you?

took me four fucking tries to get an image that didnt wipe my post. I had something better written, and it got wiped the first time.
Are you a mind reader? How are you supposed to know if someone is interested before you try to get their interest? How the fuck do you think fat ugly people find themselves in relationships? It sure as fuck aint physical attraction.
"hi" is not annoying, hi is a greeting. Greeting people is not annoying, nor is it harassment. If you have those things shoved in your ear up above, you actually ARE now demonstrating a sign that you dont want to be bothered. If someone says "hi", and gets ignored, then goes and chases them down yelling "hey bitch, I said hi, you rude cunt", THATS harassment, and if they grab their arm for their attention, thats also assault. But someone nonchalantly saying "hi" is NOT annoying or harassment. You can make an inference that this person just wants to nail the girl, but thats all it is, an inference.
"reason to believe"
"good luck young man"
Because they'll approach you first, justifying your filing harassment charges.
