Again, Lena Dunham lives off of shock value. She wrote this way on purpose. She compared herself to a sexual predator not to imply she is a predator, but to generate shock. This is not hard stuff to understand.

Exactly why she needs to see a shrink.

I know you don't have a vagina. But imagine you shoved rocks up your ass (not going to happen at 1 as said, a 1 year old is gonna be in a diaper still, and is not going to know how to take it off), your sister/brother looked in your ass and had your mom pull rocks out of your ass. Would you be ok with your brother/sister being famous and writing a book you know a fuckton of people are going to read with this story included?

Seriously how can you not see someone has to be missing some fucking wire connections to think any of these stories were ok to tell?


And to reiterate. If the rock story is true. IF. Then the baby wasn't 1. Maybe lena sucks at remembering how old her sister was, but she wasn't 1. It is almost safe to say it is impossible for her story to be completely true.

The older her sister had to be for the story to be true, the older lena had to be.

It means one thing. Her sister got bigger. She got bigger because she was growing/aging. That means lena was aging, too.

I"m arguing that labeling her a sexual abuser is a bit much, and the fact that this is what took people to stop supporting her nonsense is downright silly. This is absolutely nothing out of the ordinary for Dunham. Her entire career has been based off of stuff exactly like this, with less personal spins on it.

I don't really think there's anything wrong with writing about past mistakes though. As long as she understands now that she really shouldn't have done these things, then talking about it doesn't really do any harm. And if she doesn't, then that is the problem, not talking about it.

Depends on the details. I haven't read it, but even at 12+ stuff like this could certainly be considered relatively normal, but around that age is where it should probably be scrutinized further.
