You really can't imagine a situation where someone might have to take responsibility for their own fears instead of forcing others to change their behavior because they are a potential rapist?
No one is forcing anyone to change their behaviors.
This is getting a little silly.
It is getting silly. That is what I am pointing out to you.
Live in fear and believe that everyone will potentially rape you all you want. I am not required by any law or moral code to pander to your fear and be a "decent human being" in your narrow and naive view of the world. If you do not like the situation you are in if someone is behind you while walking at night, then it is on you to change it. I will continue to live, just as I have for 32 years, without raping anyone. I will continue to walk down the street and mind my own business. You can deal with your own fear and not bring me into it.
You live in NYC, there are cabs at 2am. If there are no cabs at 2am, you probably live in a small town where everybody knows each other, and saying "hi" on the street is normal.
I'm going to drag GG thread into this, only to make a point.
Your "ideal" situation is ideal as this:
SJW's are "trying to get more women in the video gaming field because its dominated by misogynist men", then say "boycott this game made by a woman because she supports gamergate". How is this relevant? They're trying to silence the very thing they're fighting for.
Your ideal solution is bullshit, it is the very opposite of equality and paints women as weak helpless damsels, which is the very thing feminists want women to NOT be thought of.
what
You just don't get it. Not even worth it. I will continue to not be creepy and walk wherever I want without regard to your fear and you will continue to believe it is my responsibility to be aware of your fear and change my behavior to save you from me being a potential rapist.
High River is a city 45 minutes away from Calgary. it has a population if approximately 13k.
There are also cabs avaiable 24 hours
Population of 13k too big? Okay then.
Chapais is a city in the northern part of Quebec, and I just googled this, I had no knowledge of its existence until now. It boats a whopping population of 1610 people.
There are cabs operating 24 hours a day.
Enough with the "walking behind people is creepy/not" argument. This is easily the fourth time you guys have hit that same point in the same argument circle. Part of my mandate is to keep threads from getting shitty.
That argument circle is shitty. Discuss something else or I'm locking the thread.
Tell hey to stop being an idiot about it. Were addressing multiple points of whats wrong with hey's point, and she's just saying "but its creepy" over and over.
That was the first time I weighed in and I gave up after one post. Sorry.
Bane you got a tough job cleaning this up and I know its not exactly productive discussion... but isn't locking a thread with well over 260 pages(inferiorsettings) of discussion over one instance of a circular argument a little bit like shooting as a first response ._.
I hope this isn't taken as sassing I'm not trying to sass you, I just genuinely enjoy reading this thread sometimes to pass the time.
