Yup
Bully people to get what you want. Bullying is wrong, except if youre a feminist.
As long as you call the other person a misogynist, you can't be wrong.
Its the ultimate trump card. (Against women, they do it too... they just call it "internalized misogyny" at that point.)
Why are "feminists" reading redbook or am I confused about the target audience being housewives?
Did you just make the same mistake she did, implying that housewives can't be feminists?
They cant, being a housewife obviously demonstrates submission to the patriarchy.

Wrong thread?
I get that, but I don't see why... nvm
Oh, it's not actually Anita? She's pretty spot on.

It might be new but where's the outrage over the sexualized anatomy in these drawings that the Italian Spider-Woman artist got?
Edit: apple's autocorrect misogyny changed spiderwoman to spider-man.
The article is sparse on news (lolgawker). Are those covers that are going to be printed, or just Timm mucking about?
If you insist, points of outrage:
1) Most of those characters are over 50 and still look like they're 20. That's comic book agism for you.
2) Why does she-hulk not look like a soviet-era East German swimmer? Did she just rip her clothes for fun after transforming?
3) Author writes an "article" about 5 drawings with three associated sentences, one of which he unnecessarily uses to inform the audience that he can't identify all the characters. As far as I can see, no citation of where he got it from or anything to show me he didn't just pull 5 images off someone's fanart deviantart page and attribute them to Bruce Timm for lulz.
4) As far as the body shape/etc. of the superheroines, they are a little skinny in the midsection (each midsection is about as wide as a thigh/head) and they all have about the same size boobs, but I'm not going to fault him for the historic costume choices (apart from she-hulk. If she isn't going to bulk up then she shouldn't rip her clothes. It's wasteful).
From what I've read people were flipping their lids because they think she doesn't know what feminism(correction: what THEIR feminism) is if those are her views on it. Also, taking care of your man if you're a female and enjoying cooking and cleaning and being a 50's housewife is totes offensive and justifies the patriarchy etc etc
I agree. The issue with Kalie is that she enjoys it and wants it, but was still attacked by feminists who want to force her to not want to be a housewife. This is the entire reason that feminism is kind of a joke right now. It has already been talked about here. Anyone can self-identify as a feminist and push their agenda under the banner of a movement that is supposed to be about equality but instead, because of those self-identifiers, has become a war against anyone who doesn't want what they want.
I'm pretty sure that the actual issue is that fembots didn't bother to attempt to understand what she was saying.
She made two separate statements that didn't necessarily need to be made together (which might have added to the confusion.)
A) She never felt the need to identify as feminist because she personally didn't see a need for it in her life as she does not recognize that she's had any gender-based discrimination directed at her.
B) She likes being a housewife.
Somehow, people connected the dots (that weren't supposed to be) and came to the conclusion that she was saying that housewives cannot also be feminists or something stupid like that.
