The ethical consequences of disableing youtube comments.
It's disabling, you ignorant mouthbreathing faggot, I hope you get raped and die in an aids fire.
Spoiler: show
new video reminded me that i havent played dantes inferno.
should i play it?
It has tits with teeth
Exactly.. why does it matter? I don't care personally like I said my biggest beef is she spoiled a ton of games. the legion of anti-cis privilege man-hating lesbos Women want to champion this as something other than someone wanting to get paid to lecture men on why they're so terribly daft and stupid for enjoying plot lines in some of my favorite games.
It's not just her either. Women like Sady Doyle believe men who enjoy shows like game of thrones are only watching/reading it to fulfill a disgusting desire for Rape fantasy.
I don't have strong opinions about anything besides her earrings.
Who the fuck wears hoop earrings that large and get's on to make a video about feminism? The amount of horror stories I've heard from girls about over-sized earrings getting caught on something and tearing the pierce. Walking straight into the literal definition of "shit you only wear so guys think you look nice." while making a video about feminist tropes. What are you thinking? Where is your head?
I mean, Ksan or whoever else, feel free to tell me I'm wrong about this. But lol, really.
How can you say "Exactly.. why does it matter?" when you're the one that's said disabling comments is somehow bad up until this post? If they thought it didn't matter no one would be implying she was weak for turning them off bc they wouldn't care. That's how non-issues work.
There are dumb people in every group. There are people who disagree in every group. Do a couple vocal chicks represent female and/or feminist gamers as a whole? I don't think so. I think it's just that nobody's been talking about it much before, so they get noticed. And yet morons on youtube comments are so common-place that we stand up for their right to smash their faces into keyboards and be heard.
And on GoT, it's worth noting that George RR Martin himself has a feminist attitude, and GoT is actually a good example of female characters in fantasy done well, so in general I think feminists are pretty ok with it?

anybody know of like a list of which games she spoiled so I know if it's safe or not to watch the new one? lol
I said I agree it doesn't matter.. I then pointed out how it obviously mattered to her since she disabled comments.
Feel free to point out where I was making disabling comments a big deal. I was just commenting on a comment made in this thread specifically meant for commenting.

You said "feelings getting hurt is no reason to disable comments."
And I didn't say comments don't matter, I said disabling them shouldn't.
Commentception.I was just commenting on a comment made in this thread specifically meant for commenting.
re: Giant hoop earrings. Not a fan. But loop earrings in general hurt like a bitch if you pull them out while you're brushing your hair.
you don't know why disabling comments on youtube is bad?
Disabling comments reinforces the argument that she refuses to address any legitimate criticism of her work by using the excuse that any criticism makes you part of the cybermob that's out to get her.
It's not just the fact that comments are disabled, which I agree isn't a big deal by itself, but it's the fact that anyone who tries to have a normal dialogue with her gets shut down because it takes away from her ability to paint all her detractors as basement-dwelling trolls who don't like her because she's a woman who wants to ruin the "boys' club" of gaming. There's a reason why she intentionally opened up comments for her Kickstarter campaign video after initially having them disabled.
She doesn't allow/delete comments on her blog as well.
There is nowhere but 3rd party sites to discuss it.
so after watching that whole thing, I only really have 2 comments...
way off the deep end with this one, just pretending the whole time that "you killed my father" or "you killed my brother" don't exist
and...
how the fuck does this chick not know about Heavy Rain? rofl...
edit: oh, I get it, mentioning heavy rain would involve admitting there are storylines exactly the same where it's a son instead of a wife/daughter
