you're wrongly assuming that its one or the other, there's nothing that stops a good game from selling well without sex appeal, but the bean counters probably know the exact percent that a sideboob on the cover will increase sells of that good game by.

I don't mind tasteful fan service! Sex appeal is cool as long as it's tasteful, so, everything but Duke Nukem Forever & looking up the skirts of school girls(even this is not so bad). The comment I made about it being cool that they not waste money on the booth babes and instead put that money towards improving their game was off topic.

You are so totally absolutely right! He didn't say HURT, that was a misquote, he said it didn't help the feminist cause of equal pay for women, which is equally as dubious as saying hurt. In fact, even bringing up equal pay for women in his post was questionable in intent. It didn't belong there. Oh, and complainers are typically viewed as being weak, is why I brought that up, so to bring us full circle here.
