Who's talking about that? Kuya asked if "those things are actually real". This site in particular may have been exaggerated, but they still do exist and in the same way that there are men-hating women forums (and hell, in the way that you can find a forum for spouting off hate of any particular group of people you probably could think of)

Society? There's plenty of those even within a single country and this is definitely so here in America... but the laws? The laws are certainly more misandric without a shadow of doubt.

This is seriously fucking easy. I'm jumping on the archi is stupid bandwagon, because reading the past 3 pages made me facepalm more than a few times.

The correct answer is the west is both misandric and misogynist. Usually the misogynist stuff is cultural, like gender roles and stereotypes (womens can't do maths, should be cooks, etc). The misandric stuff tends to be legal, with a dash of cultural, like alimony laws, parental rights, family courts, or the massive down-playing of violence towards men (from either men or women).

Do you feel that the laws and cultures that are misandric are worse today than they were in the past or better? Do you think men have a better chance of obtaining parental rights now or in 1950? Do you think a man claiming domestic violence would be given more protection now or in 1950? Do you think men are more expected to work in dangerous jobs or put women's lives ahead of their own more now or in 1950?

I think misandry was worse in the past, which is what makes me laugh at now being called "the age of misandry". It feels less a response to "how misandrist the world is now" and more a response to women gaining opportunity and equality.
