I'll have you know my centers have more Stanley cup rings combined than yours!

But they have a top 5 goaltender!
Roster of forwards all #1 overall picks #Oilersin2022problems
Don't show up for 1st round of playoffs, downgrade at Center, still cup favorites going into next season #PenguinProblems.
I doubt Pens are cup favorites when Fleury gives up 14 goals in 100 minutes in the first round lol

Pens were a unanimous odds-on favorite even before it looked like they were gonna make a serious bid on Suter/Parise. Only way I see anyone nudging out of the top line in the books is if Vancouver, Detroit, or NYR get Nash or Semin.
If crosby was on the Blue Jackets theyd be odds on favorites. You know how the media adores the pedostache'd little bastard
Oh yeah Rangers powerplay was atrocious and honestly i believe that's why they didn't make the finals.
Pens are a playoff team, and prob a top 4 team in the east. But lack of defense makes them not really cup favorites imo despite what the odds are.
Compare the Pens defense now to 2008 and 2009 teams that went to the SCF finals and there is a huge drop off.
Untill Crosby gets his next concussion
I have all the faith in the world in Matt Niskanen, Deryk Engelland, Kris Letang, and Simon Despres; Brooks Orpik I believe can fix his issues he developed last year. Paul Martin.... there is no hope for Paul Martin. I honestly wished we'd traded him to PHX instead of Michalek cause Michalek's issue were the least severe of all the bad defensemen, even milder than Orpik's mild issues. Paul Martin and Ben Lovejoy... I hope they both fucking take a slapshot to the skull and go on LTIR.
To be fair in regards to Orpik's play last season, he missed camp because of the sports hernia surgery last summer if I remember right. I know I was hard on Orpik last season but at least he did have an excuse.
There's no excuse for Paul Martin though. And Lovejoy isn't touching this line-up again with the defense prospects in the system now. There's just no way. He has that awkward charm about him that makes him likable, but the Penguins aren't on 24/7 anymore so I don't give any fucks and he sucks at his job.
Most boring 24/7 to come is this year. Then again, I do get to watch future serial killer Phil Kessel
