Erixon is fucking good, Nash is too expensive, it's a meh trade for BJs but not that bad.

Maybe Slats was making the deal with a cigar in his mouth, so it was like "We want Nash, and we'll give you Dubinsky, Erixon, Bhagdte, Naksthus and a 1st rounder." Howson is now reading TSN like "shit, I totally heard that as Gaborik, Dubinsky, Girardi, Richards, MDZ and McDonaugh."

I like Ani, but he's so god damn inconsistent and his development has stagnated.
Dubi will boucne back in Columbus but we couldn't afford to have a 4.2 mil 30 point player on our roster if we're trying to contend next year.
I'll miss Erixon the most, I think he's gonna develop nicely.
But all that for 5 years of Nash in his prime? SATHER DOES IT AGAIN!

If anyone thought they were giving up Erixon and Kreider/Stepan/Hagelin, that was never going to happen. Howson did the deal he could, there was ABSOLUTELY NO WAY Nash was coming back to CBJ. Don't hate Howson just because NYR got better.

It's funny because he held off for so long hoping to get something awesome. He probably got what he did because he waited. Had he made the trade when people were throwing offers at him during the first week of free agency, he would have gotten a lot more.

Nash is way overrated, but the Rangers didn't give up any pieces that are even close to essential.
But if you consider that Howson is also removed with this deal, it will probably be a net positive for the BJs.
