Fucking hate cheese wiz. Love cheesesteaks with provolone. There's a place in city that does them awesome and offers cheez wiz, provolone or american cheese. I cant bring myself to try the cheez wiz version.

They're on Davie Street. They use prime rib roast. It's the best place in Vancouver for Cheese Steaks.

6.5mil AAV for Doan? LOL get real. I hope the Rangers choke even if they re-align the league and pens aren't in NYR's division/conference during the 2nd of those 2 seasons.

Why shouldnt they make that deal? They have 11M in cap space currently, and his deal ends when the Rangers need to go on a resigning spree

High money low term is best for Doan. Rangers obviously are going for a Cup in the next 2 years, for good reason.

Right now we have our high money guys in Nash, Richards, Gabby, and Lundqvist in their early 30s. Meanwhile McD, MDZ, Stepan, Kreider etc are all on ELCs or 1st year RFA contracts. Now is exactly the window in which you push for a Cup, and signing a guy like Doan to play the 3rd line for 2 years in that window makes perfect sense.

If they don't win in 2 years, you let Gabby/Doan go in order to re-sign the RFAs to raises, and look at the next group of prospects.

EA finally gave the full press release for everything concerning Online GM connected....

The best part:

Just like the real NHL, all trades and free agent signings also have to be approved by the league, which in GM Connected falls to the Commissioner.

The worst part:

The Commissioner is not all powerful. If he is abusing his power as Commissioner, the league’s GMs can vote to have him removed. The GM who initiates the vote, if successful, will then become Commissioner.

Because the expiring CBA means the cap might not stay at 70m, and contrary to what many fans think spending to the cap at the start of the season is generally not a good thing.

Well they will have around 4-5M left after the signing, if Doan does indeed sign here.

Didnt calgary run into that problem a couple years back and had to play with 15 on the bench instead of 18(i think its 18?) for the last 15 games of the season?

Yeah we did. Couldn't even bring up kids from the minors because their $700k cap hit would have put us over. Not a good way to end the season
