This is for NHl13 coming out in September; the feature we're talking about doesn't exist in NHL11 or NHL12. Commissioner has the power to decide when specifically / how frequently on an interval to "advance the season". Sounds like, hypothetically, maybe 1 RL week or even 3 RL days (whatever you set it for) = 1 month in the season and you can play X amount of games in that month. Anyone who plays less gets their games simmed between their roster and their opponents' roster. It definitely says you choose how quickly the schedule advances through each season and people who aren't going to pace for the interval of games will get their games simmed.
