oh man private schools are expensive as shit. Can't say I know anyone personally that's gone there. I did have a floormate that did Film Studies at UBC though. I'm guessing VFS is more for technical stuff though.

If you're going for the directing/production classes, I can't really say much. But I can tell you that VFS is terrible for acting. BIIIG ass class sizes, barely any chance to work with the teacher, essentially a waste of money. I was considering going there for more acting lessons after I moved outta LA but I'm glad I didn't.

I'm just glad the Oilers (and I'm sure Vaspinne feels the same way towards the Flames) don't have their 10 ~ 12 games per year that are PPV anymore.

That was such a stupid thing and yeah, I'm super glad they don't do it anymore. Such a waste of money and the only difference is you got like, a few minutes of behind the scenes stuff instead of TV commercials and commentary from the broadcasters

I have heard nothing good about most of VFS's classes. Script writing is a joke apparently, along with many of their media programs. Ivaden dodged a bullet there.

Also Canucks had pay per view games too. Shit was retarded.

So what sports are you guys going to get into while hockey is locked out? I'm thinking I might get into professional eating.

If/when there's a lockout I *might* watch the Redskins as Griffin III seems like he could turn the team around, at least in terms of attitude. One thing I noticed last season though was I watched a lot less NHL Network. Between Caps games on CSN, and random other games on NBC Sports, I feel it's not worth paying the extra $10/month for the mid-tier Fios package just for NHL-N. Also, this year I'm throwing down the Habs hat and (finally) rooting fully for the Caps, so I can see everything on CSN.

RE: VFS

I would've went for sound design. When I was going to the Art Institute, they didn't offer an audio major whatsoever, and I wanted to move away regardless. VFS seemed like a good fit because, again, Vancouver is fucking beautiful and I'd love to live there.

Yeah I'm pretty confident that a deal gets done by November. There is no freaking way the owners will let the Winter Classic die this year. Not only would it screw over 100,000 hockey fans (who don't matter unless theyre buying merchandise) but it would be a loss for NBC. But who knows, maybe crushing the players union means more to the owners then growing the leagues profile.

I'll admit, when it comes to finances and all the shady behind the scenes shit that goes on, I'm pretty dumb...but if a team owner cant afford to sign a player for 100 million over 10 years, why are they signing a player for 100 million over 10 years?
