I'm surprised that jersey isnt hanging from the rafters already, as Hall of Famer Jason Bonsignore wore that number during his cup of coffee in the NHL.

Not sure how I feel about the NHL13 gameplay... definitely differences between player speeds now, but it feels very two tiered. It feels like 95% of players are still the same and only the Stamkos/Geno/Letang/Kovalchuk's have any advantage where as it should be tiered to like 5 or 6 levels of speed. Also the goalies are way too tough to beat, no wrap arounds, they're anticipating 90% of crosscrease backdoor tap ins. I would've been fine with the anticipation thing if they made it so the goalies cheat off their post but they don't and I would've been fine with the anticipation thing if they made a degree of mortalness to the goalies where any shot can go in but they still autosave most stuff. Only way I've found to reliably beat the goalie is the same curl it back and then snapshot high short side corner cheese goal thats been in the past 3 or 4 editions.

The skating is wayyy more realistic, which I like conceptually, but but sure how much I like in terms of playing a videogame and wanting my character to do what I intend when I press a button.

They need to turn the goalies down, its complete bullshit that the computer can walk into your zone and pick a corner from 35 yards out and you can take 25 shots all you want but if you're not doing cross crease 1 timers, wraparounds, or the curled top shortside shot, you're not going to score. For as real as the skating is, the goalies are still completely unreal in that the human goalies have no programmed human error rate. I can't wait to log 500 hours in NHL13 looking to hit the curl shot on the way in the zone and then as it comes back the other way I'm on D, defending against the curl shot.
