Sometimes quiet leaders are the best. Its so simple when your formula is go out there, work your ass off, and get rewarded. There's no having to "get up" with rah-rah banter for a game when you give 110% every game.

And fuck we are definitely having a lockout. As much as I think the players have the short end of the stick currently, what can they really do? The owners are willing and better equipped to have the entire season cancelled to see the key HRR / rev sharing / contract length / etc stipulations met. Locking out for a few weeks does nothing to change this really. To me, if you're the NHLPA, you either fold for the best deal you can get on 9/14 or you just go ahead and tell people the season is cancelled; go sign full season contracts in the SEL / Kontinental / etc. Going halfway is not going to achieve anything other than pissing fans off.
