I'm pissed at both tbh. Most people don't realize the players want a set in stone dollar amount of revenue sharing whereas the league wants a percentage. In the player's deal if they agree to take 1.5 billion dollars guaranteed and the league only make 2 billion dollars that season the owners get shafted on revenue. It is an entirely unreasonable request. A percentage based revenue sharing is the only way it will work.

I believe the players were asking for a minimum freeze of the 1.8 they split this past season. But the only way the league were to have an issue losing money that way is if... wait for it... THEY HAD A LOCKOUT AND REVERSED THE INCREASING REVENUE TREND.

NOW knowing the league cannot expect revenue growth once games are canceled the offer becomes unreasonable but was a perfectly legitimate one that only would become more favorable over time to the owners.

Players don't get paid during camps so for them they don't give a shit.

But for owners, They make ALOT of money out of Camps

Places a like MTL,Toronto (all canada) and big USA markets like Philly NYR and Pittsburgh are probably full during Training camps matches. Those are all directly into the owners pockets,

I'm fairly certain that all money made during preseason and postseason games is included in HRR, so technically no, they do not get paid for those games as they are paid for regular season games only, but the total money allotted to players' salaries is increased by sales during these games.
