FUCK. I Need my hockey. A new pub that has DJ's instead of a live band has opened up near my place.

Are we done with the Buffalo bashing yet?
Buffalo is the new canada
The city itself is a fucking taint stain. The best parts of Buffalo are the little towns outside of it. People are really nice and they live and die Buffalo sports (which is basically just the Sabres/Bills).
Man fuck reading LeBrun's article and several others today are once again getting me all optimistic. If they manage to cut a deal by the 25th and save a full 82 game season, I will likely be found naked somewhere on the streets of DC within 3 hours of said announcement.
With an American flag sticking out of your ass
Whats going on?
I typically keep working while eating at work cause frankly my job isn't that hard other than dress up on days when clients come in, always be on time, and always have your hair combed. But the past week I've been stopping during my breaks to check tsn.ca, nhl.com, espn.go.com/nhl, sports.yahoo.com/nhl, etc for updates as we approach this deadline. I literally might run through the cubicle aisles screaming if they make the deal.
At this point, losing the season would be inconceivable. The third PA proposal had an immediate 50/50 reduction year 1; the key difference revolves around who pays to guarantee current players contracts. The owners are not going to win this battle on the PR front or with Fehr; you fucking signed players to absurd contracts, lured one of our best defenseman away with one, and almost lured our best one away with the most absurd contract structuring since Kovalchuk. You better believe that everyone on the planet except for you thinks you should pay what you contracted them at.
Bettman has indicated that if the PA accepts the NHL's last proposal, he would be willing to budge on the mechanism by which current contracts remain guaranteed. I think you see us end up somewhere near there with maybe some additional movement on contract terms in the players favor and no "clarification" of HRR (i.e. it stays the same as last CBA which is what the players want).
Going to miss Lindback ; ;
And I would probably just rock the cape-flag I wore to the home playoff games vs. DET that now hangs above my bed. Though I think I'd rather drape over the shoulders than stick a flagpole in my ass; tough decision though.

I had a dream about hockey. But like all dreams, I can't exactly remember what it was about.
Slowly coming to the point where I'm relating everything I see and hear to hockey.
Awesome blurb from Friedman's 30:
13. Non-lockout stuff: CBC producer Josh Wilder sold his downtown Toronto condo during the summer. A university student and her father were looking at the property. Wilder asked where they were from and was told "Edmonton." Josh proceeded to explain how, as a Winnipegger, he hated Edmonton because the Oilers always used to beat the Jets in the Smythe Division playoffs. The man smiled and said, "Nice to meet you. Kevin Lowe."
Adding on this, Quebec wants to deny citizenship of immigrants who cannot speak french.
Failing to learn French would bar an immigrant from holding public office at any level, raising funds for political parties, or petitioning the National Assembly for redress of a grievance.
They'll just think it's a Habs saber, and you'll be appointed new leader of the Bloc Quebecois
Is it a bad sign when Darude's Sandstorm comes on shuffle, and as much as I hate the song now, I listen to it fully just because it reminds me of the Hawks powerplay?
to be fair, it even gave me fits pre-lockout because their PP was so terrible lol
I used to like the song, then they started using it for the PP, and I started hated hearing it lol. Especially because the pp mostly consisted of a quick cycle, pass to the point, pass across to other D, dump in corner, turn over at the line, or a blocked shot and then it was over. Wish they'd use a new PP song lol.
