Granted the CHL makes way more money than NCAA hockey, but still I don't know if they need a PA to start tangling things up when they don't exactly lead the hardest lives there. They're basically getting free room and board and a potential shot at becoming a millionaire. I know almost all of them don't, but still the opportunity is more than most kids get.

Except the NBA hasn't already shown that they will blow up a season to get what they want. The NHL has and Bettman will absolutely do it again. Fehr is going to be the main reason there won't be a season.

While true, the last time we lost a season there wasn't a winter classic, which makes a lot of money for the NHL so I doubt they will want to lose that, which is probably what the NHLPA is banking on.
