It all carries over, since it's an inflated $16.50 per hour, in a place where $16.50 an hour may as well be less than minimum wage.
For shits and giggles, I looked up my Aunt/Uncle's old place up there - they moved out since it got retardedly expensive, and their house is now being rented out PER ROOM, for $5,000 a month. Not the whole place, per room. The laundry room / living room / bathrooms are all communal among the 6 tenants, but each bedroom is rented out individually. It would be like having random roommates I guess, but 6 random people per place? ehhhhhh...

I think it's maybe 24% in total between Federal and Provincial here. Plus sales tax is the lowest in the country at 5% GST, and no PST unless like the rest of the country on regular sales.
Irony of it all is Alberta is based on oil, yet it's all exported, so it's not as if anywhere in the province has a major break on the rest of the country when we pull over, pull down our pants and get raped at the gas pumps.

But totally back on track, if the NHL knew they had this proposal for the PA waiting til a few hours after canceling the Winter Classic, I'm sure they could've come up with an agreement to delay when they were going to go ahead with their rental payment for The Big House. Ok, so maybe they let their current deal slide, but come up with "We'll pay you more, just keep the field reserved for us that day." type thing.
It's why I wish the NHL vs NHLPA shit was broadcast like the Presidential debates.

Good come back from behind win in the fourth, appearances of Hall of Famers, fireworks, beer and cheerleaders wearing tight yoga pants and me and buddies sitting only 14 rows from field level. Good bye old girl...and helloooooooooo new stadium.

Could've come home to watch Jets play in Florida but nooooo...with have big poo poo heads running the league and its players!

The tone of their rhetoric alone has changed immensely. No blame and they actually agree that it was productive. I gave up on the season Friday morning when the Classic was cancelled; getting a partial season now would just be gravy.
