Dammit all to hell, there is a Tony Granato San Jose Sharks CCM jersey from the 90s IN MY SIZE on Ebay right now and my father runs a paypal account for the whole family (myself and my sister both just write him a check for the amount when we need to use it) but its going to be to expire / be bought by the time I get home from work tomorrrow.... Im also tempted to say fuck it all and buy a Michael Jordan jersey just to metaphorically fuck you the NHL lockout. I know we're all hockey fans here and hockey is a far more demanding sport than genetically height gifted black guys jumping up and dropping a ball into a hoop, but Michael Jordan is a fucking boss on a level Geno, Sid, Ovechkin, and any other active NHL player cannot be on the level of and you know you're lying to yourself if you think otherwise. MJ Bulls championship era jerseys are timeless. That jersey is almost on the level of classic timelessness as Yankees pinstripes.

The announcement of a NHL season on my birthday would be the besterest present ever :D

I was wrong about the Winter Classic but I said months ago that the NHL and NHLPA would get something done by American Thanksgiving. It's when NBC starts televising games and lo and behold look what's happening.

Starting to get a good feeling this is going to get done. Its all business right now and no talking through the media.

My opinions regarding hockey have not changed despite the shittiness of the situation. As soon as this ends, I'm going to overdose hard on hackey. And I think Steve / Bill talk tomorrow afternoon informally on phone, make some progress, meetings get scheduled for Mon-Wed, and deal in principle or major progress announced by Wed night. Optimism go!

Apparently NHL players have been notified to return to North America asap

All signs point to positive traction and ground gained during these meetings. Considering how close they already were.. I'm optimistic.

NEW YORK - The NHL is preparing to announce the cancellation afternoon matches until 30 December inclusive, according to a source.

This would remove 104 more games of the regular season schedule. The total increase to 526 games canceled since the beginning of the lockout in mid-September.

Winter Classic and All-Star Game have been wiped off the map.

The league and the players gave the impression of approaching an agreement before talks broke down last week.

Commissioner Gary Bettman has already mentioned it would take a season at least 48 games to maintain the integrity of a campaign.


We all want hockey but can you guys finally agree with me that it won't happen for this season?
