I hope we open against Phoenix at home so I can watch Down whine like a bitch when the banner is raised.
Sep, Sports Deli is up to 50% off on everything except some random shit like Nike apparel. Picked up some more shit for the game room yesterday.
LET THERE BE ICE GIRLS
They won't get a dime out of me. The only way the NHL and NHLPA change their business practices is if the fans walk away. I was prepared to miss the entire season anyways so as a result I will be boycotting this "season."
Let me be the first to start this off!

There's actually some pretty decent things to come out of this CBA. 1) we have at least 7 years, maybe 10 before it gets pointed out that we have the worst league in sports. 2) Contract terms are going to end up being more reasonable going forward, no more Kovalchuks. What this does not do, however, is keep GMs from handing too much money to players who aren't good enough to deserve it, but at least they'll be out from under it in less years. I really, really would have liked to see a Larry Bird rule added, but oh well. 3) Revenue sharing is up, which is going to be even more important this season since the teams with financial issues will have been hit the hardest by the lockout itself.
and in even better news, the Kings werent retarded with their contracts and we have 2 buy outs and no one to really use it on!
FINALLY
Ouch, Hawks are right up against the new cap. There's probably going to be a Hjalmarsson trade or Hossa buyout in the works, pretty sure Oduya has a NTC and they kinda need his style of player either way.
Im pretty sure teams can spend up to 70 million this season in the "transitional year" but would have to be under the cap before next season.
And even with that, Kings are great cap wise! They will be 10 million under cap with only 2 "major" holes to fill. 2nd line LW and top 4 defensive defense men.
Some RFAs to take care of, big two being Voynov and Martinez.
The draft lottery is....interesting.
now I'm trying to remember what all happened in the summer offseason.
Oh yeah, we traded Staal.
I was going to give a shit about hockey but the lockout ruined it for me.
Cally, when are we going to start the new thread and burn this depressing one?
With $70m they're fine, but after this year still in the same spot of one of those two likely needing to go, Stalberg will be up for a new contract as well. After 2014 there'll be a pretty major overhaul of the team outside the main five given how many young guys they have whose ELC will be up then.
