Sadly Darche leaves the habs I am sad because he had good intentions when he played, he was a great 4th line that could give good bursts when needed.

Edit: On the one plus side, minus the $5.25mil cap hit every year, we only lost a no-name prospect and a 5th round pick. On the other plus-side, he was tied for 3rd in scoring among all Washington players last year and led the team with hits and blocked shots.

He was great at scoring to start the year, did nothing after he was named to the All Star team and as the year progressed he became an incredible defensive liability while not contributing offensively. I don't have the stats in front of me but he was probably on the ice for 75% of WSH's EV goals against during the playoffs, it got to the point where I would cringe every time he touched the ice. Read the playoff thread and every game you will see Breg and I pissed he was in the lineup.

Pretty sure Wideman was a big reason the caps lost to the Rangers. Other then Marc Staal of course.
