If he plays one more year in the KHL, he becomes a UFA the following season as opposed to the RFA status he holds right now. This way he gets paid gobs of money, in addition to having the luxury of getting to choose his choice of destination.

It doesn't matter what a city is; the state as a whole is Republican courtesy of 20 bazillion old fogies and the state as a whole has favorable state-level taxation policies. If the NHL had 5 teams there, they'd all constitute the top 5 cities for a UFA to sign in, even if all 5 cities were liberal, younger party grounds. If everyone in the state voted, I suspect it'd flip democratically, but as it is, its 50/50 at best from a Democratic POV. Sure Obama pulled a rabbit out of his hat in 2008, but the state gov't is largely Republican courtesy of all the other years when the young liberal body isn't stirred to action.

Florida is pretty much 50/50 liberal/conservative. The local elections tend to go closer to Republican because there's more rural areas than big cities, but the Hispanic/student vote pretty much equals out the snowbird vote at the national level. A lot of the Snowbirds actually vote Democrat as well btw, transplants from the North East. The state tends to go with the national average, same as Ohio. I agree there's a lot of fuck tard Republicans in the state legislature though.

Florida is actually pretty similar to Pennsylvania. Major cities go liberal, while everything outside of them is redneck-ville. Difference is Florida has the Boca-Ft Lauderdale corridor which is pretty much rich old people. Either way Miami and Tampa are very nice cities and both pretty young/liberal compared to the state as a whole.

All deadlines are noon or afternoon-ish, it would make no sense to have shit going on at midnight.

Gaustad is an overpayment but he is a good player to have in his role. If they have the cap space though, why not.

edit: And Edmonton makes perfect sense for Schultz. He will get to be one of the "new generation" and possibly lead on D, rather than being lower on the depth chart in almost any other organization. In particular, in Ottawa he would have 0% chance of being the top D, and most likely would always be 2nd pairing at best.

Wow thanks for repeating everything I just said. Do they have how to be a fucking parrot classes at your local community college? I said Florida is basically 50/50, but the state government leans right cause the youth block isn't as diligent with voting in non-Presidential elections.
