Still is a lot to pay for a long time hoping for potential. Yea he PROBABLY can be a 1st line Center with more minutes, PP time etc. But that's a long time to pay a guy $6 mil a year for someone who's never hit 50 points.

Bit risky for Carolina. Also I expect Marc to leave for Carolina when his current contract is up with NYR.

Pretty sure Crosby also got the job security since that point is moot as they both got it; and Jordan didn't take less money. Pens also offered identical $60mil over 10 years. 60 mil is not less than 60 mil.
