Apparently the Kings are still "in" on Parise after today but they pretty much don't expect him to sign here. Once Parise says where he is signing, they will look at other target UFAs, they seem to have their sights set on Doan.

If they sign him, our top 3 lines would prob be

Brown-Kopitar-Williams
Gagne-Richards-Carter
Penner-Stoll-Doan

Also, with Penner, Sutter and DL actually sat down with him and Sutter basically looked him right in the eye, man to man and told him he only wants him here if hes committed to being the player he was the last 2 months of the season. Penner actually called DL the night before FA and said hes not even going to bother listening to any other offers or go out, get some offers and come back to the Kings to match, that he wanted to be here and prove to both of them what kinda player he can be.

It remains to be seen, but its pretty cool that he really wants to stay here and prove him self.

The only positive is that he basically brings the same stuff as Hudler, but is not tiny. And costs $1m less. And is only 2 years.

But he is not nearly as funny as Hudler.

Jokinen pickup is a great one. Big center who will give you 55+ points a year most likely. Given the cap situation in the league, I think $4.5 is fine.

The Wings have already had their share of Swedes who can't speak English. Although with Holmstrom gone I suppose they do need another.
