Welp, the Free Agent market is officially done.
The Ottawa Senators have won the Hugh Jessiman sweepstakes.

Yeah, from what I've read he's a good skater and puck retriever, some people have suggested he'd be good teamed up with a "thumper." But Schultz and Erskine, while large men, aren't ideal in that role. I'm guessing someone's getting traded because of this signing.
The fact that Brodeur and Salvador are returning to New Jersey gives me hope Semin will be back in DC. C'MAN GMGM
Suter not deciding today, per his agent.
This is going to take a month.
Hahaha suck it bitches!Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
Hearing that Jaromir Jagr has agreed to one-year, $4.5-million deal with the Dallas Stars
Man the Stars are doing work. Cannot believe Jagr is headed to Dallas.
It's amazing having an owner.
Fuck that shit. He's gonna make Roy look so much better than he actually is.
Wow Bob Gainey did stuff for once
Bob Gainey isn't our GM. GTFO with that shit.
This is amazing. What Joe's doing this offseason is insane. We're still rebuilding and focused on letting our prospects develop, but we've SIGNIFICANTLY upgraded our top 6 this year, all to short term contracts that won't block our kids from moving up when they're ready. Not to mention bringing in some star power to bring fans in the building during a rebuilding year.
Jagr is a perfect fit with all our young Czech forwards too. Vincour and Faska must be giddy.
Absolutely genius.
I never said he was the GM, when did i said he was?
Bob is 'an assistant' the ' ' is because i cant find the right word
Gainey is still a cocksucker.
I'll hate that guy for eternity
Man, I would have loved Jagr for that coin.
A good deal if he stays healthy and performs like he did at the start of last season. Could be a bit expensive if he looks like he did at the end, but likely nothing too horrible. 500k more than I expected but it fits.
Ott out, Jagr in makes Dallas infinitely more likable
Well done twitterverse.James Mirtle
@mirtle: Nieuwendyk's UFA strategy was "guys I played against in the '90s."
While funny, everything Mirtle's posted about the Stars has been dead wrong. The guy doesn't have a clue about Dallas and what they're doing.
