RFA currently, so it depends on what kind of deal he signs this summer. A 1 year deal makes it seem like he doesn't want to stay in Nashville, or at least doesn't want to be anchored there. If that is the case Nashville would probably be best served by trading him away for whatever massive returns they can get on one of the best defensemen in the league. If Nashville lets him go as a UFA they are losing a ton in potential assets.

I can honestly say that if Canucks do trade Luongo and Schneider does choke and we miss the play offs I'll be pissed. If we miss the playoffs and Luongo then goes on to win the Cup with his new team I'd seriously consider no longer watching hockey lol.

I wasn't really trolling before w/ my Panthers comments, we all know that Luongo's problems are mental and not skill, placing him in a quiet market with nice weather next to his family, I could totally see him just playing out of his fucking mind in Florida and them somehow managing a Cup with their band of misfits. For all the B-listers they have on their team, like 2/3rds of them have rings.

Luongo's problems aren't even fully mental. That part of his game I think is grossly overblown. Honestly his biggest problem is he's a bow legged wop so when he goes down into full butterfly he has no stability and ends up flopping on his stomach. It's why Schneider looks so much better positionally then he does, Schneider can go full butterfly and still remain upright providing a ginger wall in front of the net.

With a defense that understands and compensates for his deficiencies as a goalie Luongo will be a great addition to a decent team. Toronto will still miss the playoffs with him in net though.

Part of the reason why LA looked good. The Defense learned now Quick plays. Hes great but he does get to aggressive at times and moves far away form the net but there was always a defenseman or even forwards to clear the puck.

Twitter is buzzing with the possibilities of Suter and Parise playing together in Minnesota. Still not sure it's going to happen but it's interesting to see the stories of Suter likely going to Minny on puck daddy. If true Detroit is fuuuuuuucked. Maybe Canucks can offload Ballard to Detroit as a plan D

I think most Pens fans felt that the longer this dragged out the worse the chances got of Parise signing here. I'm not getting a good feeling about the continued silence. Won't be surprised to see him turn down the Pens offer. As long as he doesn't end up with Philly or in the Pens division w/e.
