I still dont think the Minnesota Heat will be that great next year. Yeah they improved significantly, they might make the playoffs but they're still a bubble team I think.

For a team right against the cap, they still have alot of holes in their roster.

Oh well will make the NW alot more interesting this year (assuming we have hockey next year).

Honestly I dont think Poile really had a chance in obtaining him. I sorta tend to think that Parise and Suter had this planned for sometime, but I think the contracts offered by Pitt, Det, Phil, etc probably through a monkey wrench in it. In hindsight, he probably should of just traded Suter, so Nashville would of got something.

Will be interesting to see if Weber actually wants to stay in Nashville now. But I doubt Poile will make the same mistake with Weber as he did with Suter, I expect Weber will get traded if hes not willing to sign a multi year contract.

Expecting to see Holland trade Filppula, two of the bottom 6 players, a good prospect and a high pick for SOMEthing that won't be worth it, sign Carle to a 6 year, $36m contract, and Semin to something similar. Because the Wings aren't actually fucked right now, but they pretty much have to make a trade since they have too many contracts, and I'm sure Holland is looking at looking to make up for losing out on the 2 premiere UFAs.

I think the Suter thing just pisses me off because I respect the Preds and think their fans deserve better. Suter and Weber wanted to see the Preds commit to winning and they did. They brought in offensive help. It's not really their fault that 2 of them didn't pan out but they did try and many liked their moves and called them favorites to win the west.

Those are some pissed off people. Lots of empathy today b/w NJD and NSH fans today. Everyone agrees they're fucking idiots for going to the Wild; have like the 2nd highest payroll in the league right now and they're still going to lose the division to VAN and likely be a #6-8 seed at best.
