Because the A on the jersey really makes a difference in the locker room. All it represents is who talks to the ref when the C is unavailable.

Luongo is competing in the world series of poker main event. He's so far made it to day three with a decent amount of chips. I hope he makes it to the final table because they stop the game and play the final table in November. It would be hilarious to see Luongo playing in Vegas for millions of dollars instead of playing hockey.... for millions of dollars.
OH MY GOD THE RANGERS SIGNED BRANDON SEGAL JUST GIVE US THE CUP NOW
Segal is a decent depth forward at least.
Derek Roy is out until November after having shoulder surgery today. Did Dallas know this when they signed him?
Niklas Hagman signs with Lokomotiv v2.0
Wolski signed with the Caps. 1yr $600k. Could be a pretty nice pickup on the cheap. And even if he doesn't work out, it's only 600k for them.
i would think youd wanna know if a player you are gonna sign is healthy or not..
They didn't sign Roy. They traded for him. Wow is everyone here that dense? Remember, Steve Ott went to Buffalo as part of the deal?
At the end of the day, it's a dozen Wolski's or a Semin.... the choice is pretty obvious. (money-wise, I mean.)

We all know it's Toews trying to get Doan so both can come back to Winnipeg. I can't see it any other way.

The Penguins are holding their Ice Crew auditions today.
Thank you, ladies.
Yeah didn't mean to say Roy signed there. It just amazes me that Dallas would take Roy if he needed shoulder surgery. Reminded me of the Edmonton/LA deal where LA got Brule and flipped out when they found out his foot was fucked, traded ended up not happening and LA got Colin Fraser instead.
Apparently he played through the pain last season and was planning on doing it again this season. When they did the full medical today and found out they said fuck no and made him get the surgery.
Basically I'm guessing it wasn't disclosed because he didn't disclose it himself and thought it was no big deal. But GMJN said he'd rather have an 100% Roy in December than one battling an injury all season long. Also he indicated that it was a good faith gesture to show that they're interested in him for more than just one season, and they want him healthy for years to come, not just the one season they're guaranteed of him.
Personally I'm for it. It sucks major balls he's injured, but it makes so much more sense to have an 100% Roy in February when the playoff push is ramping up, rather than fading down the stretch because he's playing in pain. Also with the chance of a lockout it'd be stupid not to fix it now since there's a chance he wouldn't even miss any time.
If anyone knows about fading down the stretch, its the Stars.![]()
