PEMDAS - some people assume its six levels of math when it isn't. its four levels

1st level... Parens. do all the parens in the equation from left to right.
2nd level... expoents.. do all expoents (and squares) from left to right.
3rd level... do all multiplication AND division from left to right. it's not multipy THEN divide, both are the same level.
4th level... add and sub. left to right. addition does NOT have priority over subtraction, same as multiplication and division

6-1x0+2/2 first is the 1x0=0 and the 2/2=1, left to right
6-0+1 next is the multiply and divide, LEFT TO RIGHT. 6 minus 0 is 6, then add the 1, seven.
