Really? My girlfriend is on my phone when we drive because I have a better phone(thus better games)/she likes to read some of my stuff and it bothers me not at all. She offers me to do the same for her phone but I don't really find an interest in it so I never have taken her up on it. Of course she is always polite and asks firsts. She always reads the texts me and my friends/brothers send to each other because she thinks we're funny and a lot of the times she sends them replies if I'm driving, lol.

I really don't see why someone would get uppity about it unless they have something they need to hide. She knows everything there is to know about me.
