I had the EXP and LVL 13 follower issue, but I was able to fix it, thanks to this post: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5883988371

This may only work if you have an expired WoW account, and are still using one of the WoW characters, as your forum Avatar. I switched mine, to the Diablo character I have, re-started the client, and all of my exp returned to prior values, as well as my followers.

This is some serious WTF right there.

Likewise, I had to reset my video and audio choices. I don't even remember my audio options so I'm fucked there.

I tried ZK and he was infinitely easier to kill with my barb. Looks like I can probably handle act 2 easily now; but act 3 mobs have too much hp for me lol. Takes forever to kill them.

That's a pretty strong point. D2 right out of the gate was pretty bad. I wonder how we'd receive it today?

D2 didn't take 10 years to improve upon its predecessor, have an unknown budget that could have been massive, and have the adoration of millions of gamers worldwide. There's no excuse for D3 to be a weak product at launch when its had this much time and money poured into it. We already know that they wanted to inject a healthy dose of MMO into the game, but the shit just does not work when you're going to attempt nothing but nerfbat updates for everything that isn't a boxed expansion release, and that's clearly what they're doing.

Nerf everything into the ground now to ensure even more expansion sales when they finally get around to buffing abilities and classes then. Its silly.

so i used to be able to kill cydaea pretty fast no problem on DH. the spiders weren't too big a deal because you could just run a straight path and even if the hole popped up next to you they'd never catch up.

now?

they basically gave spiders insta-hit speed so unless you're sporting a combination of 40k life and a full DP pool with 3 backup procs you're pretty much screwed cause you get instagibbed the moment you can't evade anymore. and if you managed to survive the holes well, good luck, cause the spiders have more health, use a much more direct path getting to you, and more of them spawn.

Spoke too soon. I just switched to Ice Arrows and Cull the Weak, Valley of Death and Bat Companion and I'm raping shit in Act 3 still. Also, I can take a whopping 2 hits now from all monsters with my pure glass cannon build. Nothing has changed here except I'm clearing Act 3 fields instead of Azmodan.

Blah. I need to get more IAS now. Previous I was using a 19% axe and a 15% ring. So a 1.55 weapon and a 15% ring. Now I'm using a 1.5 dagger and a 7% ring.

I attack just a little bit to slow to keep wrath up on a single target. I can still _keep_ it up, but if I fall to 1s left by the time I start hitting a single mob I don't attack fast enough to stabilize it at 1s so crits can move it back up. Looks like i have to stack IAS on at least two items now. /sigh

Well the good news through all of this is that XI can rest easy that Blizz is moving closer to their methods. Now we can all argue and speculate about staking IAS like we used to do about haste builds in XI.

Why wouldn't I still be in this thread, Eanae? Please tell me how calling Blizzard out for obviously losing it in how they've handled D3 thus far somehow means that I wouldn't have a vested interest in a game I play regularly and paid $60 for.
