it's actually a really nice area about 10 miles from my house and a little closer to work. I live about a mile from the high school that my high school always played football against on Thanksgiving. Not that many young people, but I also live less than a mile from an okay diner/sports bar that is unfortunately crowded with guidos on the weekends. I can still see friendos regularly.
Washington DC prices suck, I am paying 700+utilities for mine. Is yours 1 bedroom?

It doesn't work that way. If he fixes what we're asking we pay the same amount that we agreed upon. If he refuses to fix either or just one then we will be pushing to pay less because the repairs will be coming out of pocket at that point.

Well yeah, that's what I meant. I don't know the situation with your house, it just seems to make sense. Also, gas leaks seem fairly serious. It's not like "I don't like the color of the house, paint it red or we won't buy it"

I thought the same thing. The home inspector said they are very common and are usually in 50% of the houses he checks. Smalls leaks aren't too serious(which these ones are) but the bigger ones you obviously don't fuck around with.

Wow, I have an entire 3br terrace house (townhouse) to myself for about $900/mo, with a washing machine + fridge and a huge freezer (no dryer though). Next year I'm buying a house nearby though. I love this place.
