all the news outlets are exaggerating what was stated though. simply you'll get something from xbox live rewards for achievements. that's all. not free ms points. not even possibly retroactive. it could just allow developers to have rewards when you get certain achievements like they already have for avatar items but instead for xbox live rewards.

Would be neat to get some kind of visible bling for completing particularly challenging (or 100%) achievements in games.
