I just want to give that lady a hug.
not sure if scam but someone put together a donation page for her they've raised over 50k now. It's a bit strange though some comments call out who the paypal is going to a different name and then 10 mins ago the founder person Max S. said he's having the bank info changed to her.

THIS IS A SCAM..STOP DONATING UNTIL IT’S CONFIRMED THAT THIS IS LEGIT!
The guy who is getting your money (Marion Adiante) wrote an article on how to scam paypal/ebay. DON’t DONATE UNTIL MORE IS KNOWN!

Just got off the phone with IndieGoGo team, we are changing the bank information to her account.
What's the point of a bus monitor if they can't handle words from 12 year olds?
This is a serious question - what is her job?
To make sure the kids rights are not being violated (when I was in middle school, there was a bus driver at a school in my district that made all the kids keep the windows up on a hot day because they were being "too loud"), among other things.
Probably one of the few jobs a lady her age can get, And Social Security isn't exactly going to leave you rolling in dough, Its all my Grandma gets and she's broke quite often. She's probably doing it for the extra cash or what have you.
That being said, Her not being able to handle 12 year old kids words... I'm sure she didn't sign up for the job expecting all the children to be little cunts. Cause no, It wasn't always like that, When i was growing up, Not a single bus i rode on ever acted like that through all my years of school.
As for your actual question. "What is Her job", Its suppose to be to make sure the kids aren't doing anything dangerous, Sticking their head out the window, Jumping around, etc... Making sure the kids aren't mistreated, as the guy above me said. Or maybe its just what the guy above me said, When i was growing up i figured they were they to keep us from misbehaving cause the bus driver can't well do that and pay attention to the road.
It sounds like she's in a fake position of authority, with no actual recourse for misbehaving students. That's a disaster the school district should remedy.
Wheres Jerry Sandusky when you need him?
Time to have uncle jerry do some Dexter type shit
And then go to jail for 15 years and the district get sued into poverty because "my children are perfect little angels and have never done anything to deserve this." And then the parents complain when the district has no money to provide adequate, let alone stellar, education to their child later on in high school.
YAY AMERICA
Sounds about right. I'm sure the kids all got in trouble the next day. Realistically though, i doubt there was much she could have done to stop it.
What she did was probably about the best thing she could have. If she ignored them, they'd get worse, and if she fought back, it'd be far worse.
I feel bad for her. Kids werent like this where I grew up. If we had a "bus monitor" back in the south they would have just whipped everyone with a belt for talking like that.
is there an age where you start caring what 12 yr olds have to say about you?
she needs to suck it up or be a wal mart greeter
Verbally abused on a school bus? I seem to recall something like that happening to me almost every day when I was in school. Not a terrible experience to have had considering I'm immune to the attention-grab self-esteem boost tactics of snot nosed kids now. Lady needs a course in how to ignore people like a pro.
If things didn't used to be this way, why should anyone suck it up? Unless the people who say that this kind of stuff didn't happen before are dead wrong.
