Its actually the small airports that have the fastest Internet. And they are free most of the time.

If you are a frequent traveller, I strongly recommend 3G connection that you can use with your phone if it supports tethering. Heck, they even have small wireless modems at size of a credit card that multiple computers can connect at once.

Internet anywhere on the go. They are very reliable as long as there is 3G connection(a lot slower with EDGE though), costs max 1-2 days of boingo wireless price for the entire month.

Can you get them for temporary only though or do you have to sign a contract?

    They've got prepaid options, think they are like 15 bucks/week, 25 bucks/month.

Prepaid are a bit expensive, but they are good for back up (or main, if you get one with higher quota)internet on the go. Instead of paying annoying fees at hotels, airports a reliable HSPA+, 3G connection(broadband speed) is a better option both in terms of price and reliablity.

Actually, anything is better than Boingo really, I've never had any reliable connections with Boingo, their signal strength is extremely poor in huge airports. I remember playing hot & cold game, with my cellphone at hand, hunting for an acceptable signal level
