Subforumed already? Would it be better to have expansion as subforum or advanced? The WotG subforum seemed like it really didn't help and only marginalized the info posting more. Although that could be due to the fact WotG sucks.

Good place to dump the extra clutter/info until it's actually released and we start diving into what's really there.
Trailer says new jobs, and shows 2 silhouettes. Nice. Also, next clusterfuck of "how do we fit in relic gear (and this time empyrean as well)?"
Maybe, just maybe
Spoiler: show
Tanaka will make this happen.
Gotta be Sorcerer/Mystic Knight. I so called that.
Where's that pic from?
Ok.. I've been trying to make sense of this artwork.. and here's what I've come up with..
Spoiler: show
I think this image is supposed to depict the 7 native warlords in Ulbuka.. which are apparently found in monster lairs.
one of them is clearly identifiable as this bee they showed in the concept art
http://andriasang.com/con1mk/ffxi_ad...24200/full.jpg
the others may not be as obvious, but you can make them out enough to figure out what family of monster they are.
theres a bird, a shark (aquan), a treelike thing (plantoid) and so on..
so my guess would be each warlord represents 1 monster type in the 2 natural ecosystems. ( beast / plantoid / vermin / aquan / avian / amorph / lizard )
.and that character on the bottom right is an adventurer.. probably the other job.
the other thing I noticed is that Rhazowa is mentioned in the new tales. Rhazowa is the northern continent.. so SoA might shed more light on the orcish/gigas lands as well.
IS that a motherfucking polar bear mob in the top left!? I know SE doesn't really use those images to show exactly what is in the game, but it looks cool regardless.
The second job on the SE presentation is maybe Fencer ou Judgemaster... jobs from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 1 and 2, let's see :D
The thing that stands out the most to me on the Amano pic is the Phoenix-like bird pointy shaped thing. Mainly because the new poster Square is selling features all the avatars, but it also includes Phoenix (which the Community reps cheekily pointed out quite glibbly). Granted it doesn't seem like common sense. Phoenix has always been associated with the Far East. But maybe they're sick of waiting/need avatars to shove into the missions and are going to slap Phoenix in.
Yeah kind of. Plus it's fighting a dude, and Phoenix doesn't fight the dudes, he's nice.
Doesn't using Phoenix require your nation to be a dick though?
I recall something along the lines of.Spoiler: show
a) if CoP missions are a spoiler to people they're failures
b) yeah, i was gonna post the same thing, that the PHOENIX FORCEBLADE required dead people to be strong, and the Far East engineered whole wars to beef up Phoenix and afaik Phoenix was either okay w/ it or was the one who asked for it? it has been absolutely ages since I did or watched CoP
c) come to think of it, every terrestial avatar has been a dick. bahamut is the king of dicks, fenrir's a jerkface half the time, didn't carbuncle try to kill us in waking the beast? and diabolos and his goddamn dynamis
They did kind of gloss over the blade part, if Phoenix asked for them to do that, if Phoenix wanted them to do that, or if there was another way to reempower Phoenix like taking whispers from the Celestials to revive Fenrir. Honestly, I do not see why doing the same thing with Fenrir wouldn't have worked for Phoenix, I am not sure if the point of Tenzen's nation killing people for the blade was to show that they were desperate or that they were too closed-minded to find another way to do it.
