They could do it like how the staff trials are. But that'd still suck regardless, and I wish SE would just pull their heads from out of their asses and give RNF the damn empy weapon already.

No, runes will not be generated through consumable items like ninja tools. Instead, they will be generated/used via an ability. There will be a recast timer associated with runes, which is currently planned to be around 10 seconds. With that said, I think you can consider the system to be quite close to how dancers function.

Wonder what kind of cost they will have then if any. It's exceedingly rare to be able to dmg a mob (aside from auto attack) without using up some kind of resource wether it be tp, charges, mp, tools, ammo, cards. Think only bashes and chi blast don't and bashes at least require the right equipment on and look at the timer on those lol

Well, they did said rune fencer will have MP, so it might be like DNC abilities with MP rather than TP.

this is actually worse, we all know how helpfull for DPS it is to spam Abilitys every 10 sec!

The 10 second recast with situational effects sounded more like PUP to me, let's hope it's not as bad as that.
