As for not doing as many news stories, hasn't only like 2-3 weeks passed so far? That's a lot less time being traveled than in S1, which the series probably needs to potentially get more episodes per season, if that's a goal.

There's actually less episodes (9) this season. Sorkin also said he got a lot of hate-watch because it was only covering the news stories, which is what tied me to the show at first, and that this season wasn't going to go as ham on a ton of news stories

The timeline of this episode confused the fuck out of me. Pill's character had the short/whacked hair when she was being deposed (talking to the attorney). Pill's character had blonde hair this episode. This episode took place a few months after Africa but before the genoa story, and before the deposition. When the fuck did she cut her hair. I assumed right after Africa. But...yeah, I'm confused.

That's the obvious answer, but why? What's the sudden trigger? My initial thoughts are that the attorney recommended that she appear as unstable as possible. But the flashback (forward?) from last week, showing her at the sink cutting, was during a time she was emotionally compromised. I guess that's why I assumed it was soon after her return stateside. I'm really looking too hard at something so trivial, but it drove me nuts all episode.

"The Why" is more than likely a continual spiral. Its nothing sudden. She has been going out and getting completely smashed after work for a while. She was accused of being drunk at work (or something to that effect) and she screwed up big time in a big racially charged story. Its not an "all of sudden bam" thing. Its her spiralling into it head first.

The Don/Sloane stuff has always been the best of the show. They need to be on more and less of this lame Africa ruined me/you ruined me so I went and hit on Meryl Streep's daughter bullshit.

Pretty sure one fuck up on Jim's part could be the final trigger. Kinda surprised she handled his questioning and such so well this episode, honestly.
