I never knew that having a job made you so stuck you can't accept or take free shit. Surprising since a few people who I know who make upwards of 70k-120k+ in circle of family and friends all think this is a great way to save a lot of cash if you're smart and safe.

Us silly poor people are more then happy to save a few bucks here and there.

And a lot of people talk like there are zero vacancies. Not true at all

It's based on region too you have to remember. I know up in NY where I lived there wasn't shit for work other then leather mill and warehouse bullshit. I got lucky that my fiance's parents live down in Maryland in a nice location, are willing to let us live in their apartment in their basement that's furnished and that her dead can get me work when it comes up while I finish up my degree. Not everyone can just up and move to a new location though due to a lot of things, money and responsibilities being a big factor.

Nothing wrong with getting free shit, just the line should be drawn at food, esp perishable foods.

Like others have said, you think you are saving money buy doing that but all it takes is one bad piece of food you "thought" was safe, and you are going to be paying more for it in medical bills than if you just went budget food shopping.

Yeah. The latitude/longitude constraints have to be thrown out to really feel what kinda options and freedom (a scary amount of it) that we all have. If you think you can only live in your current zip code, I feel for you. Humans breathe the air (mostly) the same everywhere.

Work knows if they need someone in Poland, or in Perth, AUS, or in Brazil, that I'm their man. I thirst for much more than one timezone.. **and gorgeous women of every skin color** but I must be the weird one.

Bacteria starts to grow and mulitpile between 41 degrees Fahrenheit (5 degees Celsius) and 141 degrees Fahrenheit (60 degrees Celsius) Unless its freaking cold as hell out, you never want to take meat out of a dumpster. And this is for cold food and hot food.

Bacteria is on everything; even refrigerated meat. It's delicious. Know it, love it, embrace it.

Raw meat in particular is covered in it, which is where cooking comes in (ya know, large amounts heat killing bacteria and such).

I get your point in that the bacteria counts increase with exposure to warmer temperatures, but on the flip side it's not like the count was at or anywhere close to 0 beforehand (seems you're implying this? correct if wrong). Way too much fear over germs these days.

None of those listings have pictures of any rooms. "Bedroom" sometimes means a den with no door. We would buy in the suburbs if we were staying in DC, but right now we're planning on moving to North Carolina in a couple years. Fiancée works right next to Metro Center so we paid a premium for walking distance to the red line.

Anyway, long story short, DC is too fucking expensive.
