Could always try the Arma2 free edition as a low-quality benchmark since it's the same engine. I would assume it'd heat up your mac like a mofo though.

Fucking this. Fucking over the glitches ruining shit for me. Lost my revolver, silenced mp5 and 2 clips of ammo, ak 74kobra with NINE FUCKING CLIPS OF AMMO. Lost a coyote fucking backpack, with enough meds and food to keep me and two others going fo a long fucking time.

I'm so torn to just quit until beta, so sick of how long it takes to get shit like this, only to have it lost to hackers o glitches. FUCK

I'm not playing until they fix the fucking thing where the graphics artifact like crazy anytime you're anywhere near a military dead body (the ones for scenery, not dead zombies). Cannot fucking go anywhere important.

i had the same artifacting. when it started someone suggested i change my video memory from very high to anything else. it removed all the artifacting

You can change you're screen complexity in your aoprofile in your documents, lower it and the artifacts go away.

Seconding the video memory thing, I changed mine to Default and it got rid of all of it, though the same didn't work for my mate.

There is another short term fix you can do, I think it's Left Shift + Num Pad - to bring up console and you type flush or something and it can work for you, not personally tried that though so can't remember the exact details on how it works.

As for hackers, the AU/NZ servers seem pretty much free of them, at least when ever I'm on, which is a bonus. And I've only really suffered from one glitch in the entire time I've played, which was when I was at the NW Airfield and my friend got attacked by an invisible zombie.

Really I must just be lucky, because other than getting killed by stupid things early on, the game has been massively fun so far, once you get used to it, you can gear up from a death very easily and go about your merry way, the online map is your friend.

My video memory was already at default to help with FPS issues. I'll try the screen complexity thing though.

EDIT: Scene complexity is at 300,000... what the hell would I change that to?

Didn't work. Maybe made it slightly better but I still can't go too far into the main area of Cherno cause I'll be blind. Have been making runs into Cherno for the firehouse and army tents, so far have an M4A1 CCO almost 3 full mags, and an m1911 with 5 mags, and all the medical supplies and food/drink I could ever need. I'm mainly just looking for a better sidearm and more ammo for my gun at this point, also hitting whatever residential places I can without being blinded in hopes of a compass and a ghillie suit (lol). Have killed a few people, this one kid even got the drop on me as I was coming back down the firehouse tower and popped off like 5 rounds but only like 1 hit me and did almost no damage so I just shot him in the head as he was reloading. It was nighttime so he could probably barely see me.

Basically just need a compass and some more ammo for my main weapon and I'll be set aside from the super rare stuff.
